OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

CODE BLUE ACTIVATED – CEBU CITY

ALL SCHOOL CLASSES TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED – 24 NOV 2025

Good evening, Cebu City.

The Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CCDRRMO) has officially declared CODE BLUE due to two major concerns:

1️⃣ Aftermath of Typhoon Tino β€” flooding, landslide risks, and unstable ground conditions;
2️⃣ An incoming weather disturbance expected to bring heavy rains in the coming hours.

Because of these heightened risks, enhanced preparedness and emergency measures are now in effect. πŸ”΅ Education Advisory

Upon the recommendation of the CCDRRRMO, the Cebu City Government is temporarily suspending all face-to-face classes.
Schools are instructed to shift to modular or asynchronous learning until conditions improve. Heightened Emergency Response

All disaster, rescue, medical, engineering, traffic, and barangay teams are now on full alert and ready for rapid deployment.

πŸ”΅ Evacuation, Safety & Clearing Operations

β€’ Evacuation centers remain open and fully supported.
β€’ Residents in danger zones, riversides, slopes, and landslide-prone areas are urged to stay alert and follow barangay instructions.
β€’ Heavy equipment and clearing teams are stationed in identified landslide areas for immediate response.
β€’ Avoid unnecessary travel, especially in low-lying and high-risk areas.πŸ”΅ Relief & Essential Services

The City is working on the immediate restoration of:
β€’ Water supply
β€’ Power lines
β€’ Roads, bridges, and access routes

Food and water distribution for affected families will continue.

πŸ”΅ Public Advisory

We urge everyone to:
β€’ Monitor official announcements
β€’ Report emergencies immediately
β€’ Look after the elderly, children, PWDs, and pregnant women

The Cebu City Government, under my leadership, is working hard and smart to ensure everyone’s safety and to accelerate recovery efforts.

Together, let us remain vigilant and resilient as One Cebu Cityβ€”moving forward toward
Cebu City 2035: Sustainable, Smart & Inclusive.

Stay safe, Cebu City.
