As of November 2, 2025 | 5:00 PM
Following an emergency meeting with the Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CCDRRMC), the council has unanimously declared Cebu City under RED ALERT due to the imminent threat posed by Typhoon Tino.
🔴 WHAT RED ALERT MEANS
- All disaster response units, barangay DRRMCs, rescue teams, and emergency services are now fully activated.
- The City Command Center and Emergency Operations Center (EOC) will operate 24/7 for monitoring, coordination, and response at the Cebu City Mayor’s Conference Room.
- Pre-emptive evacuations are being conducted in flood- and landslide-prone areas.
- Residents are urged to stay indoors, follow official advisories, and cooperate with barangay officials.
🏫 CLASSES SUSPENDED
All levels in both public and private schools are suspended to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and staff.
🏢 For Private Companies
The Cebu City Government encourages management to adopt Red Alert protocols, including flexible work arrangements so employees can prepare their homes and families.
✅ Important Reminders
- Secure important documents (IDs, land titles, birth/marriage certificates, contracts) inside sealed zip-lock bags.
- Charge mobile phones; prepare flashlights, batteries, and first-aid kits.
- Park vehicles and motorcycles in safe, elevated areas.
- Families near coastlines, rivers, or danger zones must move to designated evacuation centers immediately.
The Cebu City Government, through the CCDRRMC, is working round-the-clock to ensure the safety and preparedness of every Cebuano.
🙏 Let us stay calm, alert, and united — and continue praying to Señor Sto. Niño for protection over our beloved city.
